Rep. McClintock Letter Calls for State-Wide Federal Assistance for California Fires

WASHINGTON, Aug. 11 -- Rep. Tom McClintock, R-California, issued the following news release:
U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock, CA-04, joined by 13 California members of the House of Representatives called on President Trump to continue to provide federal assistance for fire suppression and recovery.
"For the state of California to endure these catastrophic wildfires, it is going to take your continued leadership and support," the letter to the President said. "We stand ready to assist you in expediting federal support to impacted communities." Congressman McClintock has been briefed at the incident command centers at the Donnell and Ferguson fires. "Our fire commanders and front line firefighters are doing an amazing job in incredibly tough conditions," McClintock said. "I'm confident the appropriate resources of the federal government will be available to assist the people of California."
