Rep. Lujan Grisham Reacts to Failed Trump Health Care Bill
Targeted News Service
WASHINGTON, March 24 -- Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham, D-N.M., issued the following statement:
Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham released the following statement following today's failed attempt by Republicans to pass President Trump's health care legislation.
"This isn't a time to gloat. It's time to get to work because Republicans have played politics for the past seven years instead of putting consumers, patients and families first.
"They have engaged in health care malpractice, and people are really struggling. The Affordable Care Act isn't perfect, but Republicans are responsible for not allowing us to negotiate prescription drug prices, not holding insurance companies accountable for high administrative costs, and not funding ACA provisions that pay for sicker patients.
"Maybe now they will work in earnest with Democrats to do the right thing for American families."
Is ‘Obamacare’ repeal dead — or a legislative zombie?
