Rep. Lesko Joins Arizona Delegation Letter Supporting Major Disaster Declaration for Arizona

WASHINGTON, April 3 -- Rep. Debbie Lesko, R-Arizona, issued the following news release:
U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) joined with other members of the Arizona congressional delegation in a bipartisan letter to President Donald Trump supporting Governor Doug Ducey's request for a major disaster declaration for the state of Arizona due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
"As the Coronavirus continues to spread across our nation and the number of cases in Arizona continues to rise, it is important we do what we can to ensure Arizona has access to critical resources to keep our communities safe and healthy," said Congresswoman Lesko following the release of the letter. "I support Governor Ducey's request for a major disaster declaration and I am proud to see the bipartisan support this measure has among our congressional delegation."
In addition to Congresswoman Lesko, Senators Martha McSally (R-AZ) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) signed onto the letter along with Representatives Ruben Gallego (D-AZ-07), Paul Gosar (R-AZ-04), Raul Grijalva (D-AZ-03), Ann Kirkpatrick (D-AZ-02), Tom O'Halleran (D-AZ-1), David Schweikert (R-AZ-06), and Greg Stanton (D-AZ-09).
The designation is currently before the president for review.
