Rep. Keating Introduces Bill to Coordinate Community Rating System Program

WASHINGTON, July 1 -- Rep. William R. Keating, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (H.R. 3135) to "authorize the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to make grants to consortia of States and communities to hire individuals to coordinate the Community Rating System program under the National Flood Insurance Program for the States and communities who are members of the consortia."
The bill was introduced on June 29 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
