Rep. Gallego Introduces Bill on Premium Rates in Health Insurance Markets

WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 -- Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5622) to "amend title XXVII of the Public Health Service Act to allow for premium rates in the group and individual health insurance markets to vary during the COVID-19 emergency period based on COVID-19 vaccination status."

The bill was introduced on Oct. 19. It was jointly referred to the House Energy and Commerce and Judiciary committees.
