Rep. Diaz-Balart Introduces Bill on Chargeable Premium Rates for Flood Insurance

WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 -- Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5793) to "temporarily limit the authority of the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to prescribe chargeable premium rates for flood insurance under the National Flood Insurance Program."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 1 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Carlos A. Gimenez, R-Fla., Byron Donalds, R-Fla., and Vern Buchanan, R-Fla. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
