Rep. Davids Introduces Bill to Allow Parental Choice in Selection of Primary Health Insurance Coverage

WASHINGTON, July 25 -- Rep. Sharice Davids, D-Kan., has introduced legislation (H.R. 4636) to amend title XXVII of the Public Health Service Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, and the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to allow parental choice in the selection of primary health insurance coverage or primary coverage under a group health plan for certain dependent children."
The bill was introduced on July 22. It was jointly referred to the House Energy and Commerce; Ways and Means; and Education and Labor committees.
