REP. DANNY K. DAVIS APPLAUDS PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS FOR PASSING LEGISLATION TO REDUCE INFLATION AND UPLIFT COMMUNITIES

WASHINGTON, Sept. 14 -- Rep. Danny K. Davis, D-Illinois, issued the following news release:

U. S. Representative Danny K. Davis joined his colleagues in saluting the Biden Administration for supporting and signing legislation that will reduce inflation, lower health care costs, combat climate change, create opportunities and jobs, protect public health, lower health insurance premiums and expand coverage, lower costs for small businesses and other monumental changes.

Davis said, "I am so proud to be a part of history in the making. The history that is made will reduce poverty and strengthen families for decades to come.

"The Inflation Reduction Act will help seniors and provide jobs for all, especially African-Americans, while at the same time reducing reliance on natural gas. We are on a roll, and the people will benefit."

In addition, the Inflation Reduction Act will reduce the defict by hundreds of billions and create a space that will ensure that the wealthiest and largest corporations will pay their fair share while ensuring that no one making under $400,000 per year will pay a penny more in taxes.
