Rep. Cicilline Issues Statement on Congressional Budget Office Report on Trumpcare
Targeted News Service (Press Releases)
WASHINGTON, March 13 -- Rep. David N. Cicilline, D-R.I., issued the following statement on Congressional Budget Office report on Trumpcare:
"Trumpcare is a great deal for insurance companies. It's a great deal for drug companies. But it's a really bad deal for hardworking Americans."
"We now know that Trumpcare will result in 14 million people losing coverage as soon as next year. The number of uninsured people will almost double over the next decade. And the wealthiest Americans will get a huge tax cut."
"This is wrong. Hardworking Americans deserve a government that works for them. They deserve a government that gives them an opportunity not just to get by, but to get ahead. Unfortunately, Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are more concerned with taking care of their campaign donors than working people."
