Rep. Cheney Issues Statement on President Trump’s ACA Executive Order

WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 -- Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., issued the following statement regarding President Trump's Affordable Care Act executive order and the announcement on the cost-sharing reduction payments:
"Obamacare is a train wreck that has caused real damage to families across Wyoming. Earlier this year, the House of Representatives passed legislation that would begin the process of repealing and replacing this disastrous policy. Now, the Senate must do its job to provide relief to people across Wyoming.
"President Trump's recent executive order on the ACA and announcement on the cost-sharing reduction payments were necessary steps in light of a federal court ruling that these payments are unconstitutional. The President's decision highlights once again how important it is for the United States Senate to take action.
"Senate Democrats and a handful of Republicans, including Senators McCain, Paul, Collins and Murkowski are fully responsible for enabling the survival of Obamacare, against the wishes of the American people, and at a tremendous cost. They must all be held accountable."
