Rep. Bourdeaux Touts Health Insurance Relief, Voting Rights at House Democrats Press Conference

WASHINGTON, March 10 -- Rep. Carolyn Bourdeaux, D-Georgia, issued the following remarks on voting rights at House Democrats press conference:

United States Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07) addressed the House Democratic Caucus' weekly press conference. In her remarks, the Congresswoman praised the American Rescue Plan's health insurance benefits for Georgia, including capping health insurance premiums and offering a significant incentive to expand Medicaid. Also speaking at the press conference were House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08), Vice Chair Pete Aguilar (CA-31), and Congressman Frank Mrvan (IN-01).

The House is expected to pass the American Rescue Plan this week, at which point the bill will go to President Biden for his signature into law.
