Rep. Bera Introduces Bill to Establish Auto-Enrollment System

WASHINGTON, April 28 -- Rep. Ami Bera, D-Calif., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5624) to "facilitate the efforts of States to establish auto-enrollment systems to enroll certain individuals in health insurance coverage."
The bill was introduced on April 26 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Ann Kuster, D-N.H., Kurt Schrader, D-Ore., Bradley Schneider, D-Ill., Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., John Delaney, D-Md., and Scott Peters, D-Calif. It was jointly referred to the House Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means committees.
