Reinsurance Group of America Announces Offering of Common Stock

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (NYSE: RGA) announced today that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of approximately $500 million of shares of RGA’s common stock, par value $0.01 per share (the “Common Stock”). RGA expects to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes. RGA expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to $75 million of additional shares of the Common Stock.

Barclays and J.P. Morgan are acting as the joint book-running managers for the offering.
