On May 19, 2023 , the U.S. Department of the Interior filed its sixth status report with the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska summarizing the Department's progress in the voluntary remand of the Record of Decision on the Environmental Impact Statement for the Ambler Access Project . In the latest report, the DOI indicated the Bureau of Land Management now anticipates publishing a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) in the third quarter of calendar year 2023, a Final SEIS in the first quarter of calendar year 2024, and a Record of Decision within the second quarter of calendar year 2024. The BLM's previous estimate was for the Draft SEIS to be published in the second quarter of calendar year 2023 and the Final SEIS and Record of Decision within the fourth quarter of calendar year 2023. Their updated timeline for the Record of Decision is an approximately six month delay from their previous estimate.
