The funds won't make families whole for what they've lost, but will hopefully provide some short-term relief, Deedrick said. "Anything to get the homeowners and renters back on their feet quicker, we're happy to be there for that," he added.
Deedrick said the funds are being offered first come, first serve, with the caveat that they will prioritize the families with the greatest financial needs.
