Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Honduras will launch the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website when it is available. The requirement is for providing health and life insurance services to the Locally Employed staff of the US Mission. The estimated number of single employees is 184 and 450 under family plan. Please note that these are only estimated quantities. The anticipated performance is for a base period of twelve months and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. No paper copies will be mailed. Please see the RFP for the actual response date and note that no electronic proposals will be accepted. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on initial offers without discussion, although we may hold discussions with companies in the competitive range if there is a need to do so. A pre-proposal conference will be held at the Embassy compound. Section L provides details. SAM registration is required pursuant to FAR provision 5.207, and prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of proposals.
