Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Chile will launch the solicitation on beta.sam.gov website when it is available. This solicitation is for the health insurance for locally employed staff (LES) at the US Embassy in Santiago, Chile. The estimated number of employees is 142 with approximately 170 eligible dependents. Please note that these are only estimated quantities for the purpose of this advance notice. The anticipated performance period is for a base period of twelve months plus four one-year (12 month) periods at the option of the Government. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. '-' The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.
