Justin Carley has joined American Trust as first vice president- portfolio manager in the bank's Wealth Management Group. He will manage client portfolios, participate in the management of American Trust's common/collective funds and provide research and recommendations with an emphasis on fixed income and related asset classes. He formerly was senior investment analyst with FBL Financial Group in West Des Moines. He has Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics and economics from Truman State University, Kirksville, Mo. He is a charted financial analyst, a member of the CFA society of Iowa and a fellow at the Life Management Institute.

Dupaco Community Credit Union announced the following:

Kandice Kerr was hired as a full-time business loan processor in Dupaco's business services department, working at the Hillcrest Road branch. She previously worked at Prudential Financial for four years.

Jill Rothenberger was promoted to vice president, consumer lending, where she manages the day-to-day operations of the loan department. Rothenberger oversees all consumer loan growth including indirect lending, VISA and HELOC growth, plus all loan-protection products. She has 10 years of experience in lending and will continue to work out of Dupaco's Hillcrest Road branch.

Angie Schultz was promoted to consumer loan processing supervisor. Schultz has spent seven years in consumer loans, most recently serving as senior consumer loan processor. As consumer loan processing supervisor, she will support consumer lending efforts in all branches, prepare loan documents, close consumer loans and serve as a resource to staff. Schultz is located at the Hillcrest Road branch.

Georgia Slade, assistant vice president, consumer lending, now also serves as a loan trainer. Slade has 21 years of lending experience, including a vast knowledge of the consumer loan landscape and systems expertise. Slade will be based at Dupaco's Hillcrest Road branch.

Michael Spalla joined the company as an associate account executive in the transportation division. He has more than seven years of sales and management experience and is a graduate from Des Moines Area Community College, Ankeny, Iowa, and Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa.

Larry Steffen joined the company as an account executive. He has more than 30 years of experience in the sales industry and formerly held positions as executive sales director and director of national sales.

Lyndsey Haxmeier joined the company as the health care services administrator. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa and holds a certification with the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Thomas Aronson passed the Iowa Property & Casualty Insurance Exam. He has been with the company as a safety consultant since May.

She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from the University of Iowa.

Tour Dubuque announced that Jessica Reimer joined the team as program coordinator. She will develop, promote and schedule tours and programs drawing on her previous experience as education director at Quad City Botanical Center in Rock Island, Ill. She is a 200-hour-certified yoga teacher and will contribute her knowledge to the continued development and launch of Tour Dubuque's Trogga fitness program. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois in Dubuque named Jayme Ironside development manager. Prior to her new position, Ironside was a senior membership outreach manager for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. She formerly was the aquatic director for the Dubuque Community Y and the Scott County YMCA in Davenport, Iowa.

Apple Canyon Lake Property Owners Association, Apple River, Ill., announced the appointment of Timothy Ridder to the role of operations director. He will manage the organization's staff and facilities. He is a political science major from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa. He received his master's degree in public administration from the University of West Florida.

Patrick C. McCarthy, CPA and principal in O'Connor Brooks & Co., P.C., has been elected chairman of the Illinois CPA Society Report Review Committee. The panel performs oversight and peer review functions of about 250 audits of local governments throughout the state annually.
