Pedestrian struck on Penn Avenue, West Reading police report

Oct. 5--An unidentified male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Monday morning at Penn and South Eighth avenues, West Reading police said.
The incident occurred at 9:55.
Officer Jesse Stock said the pedestrian was walking across Penn Avenue at the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle driven by an unidentified male.
Stock said the driver was shaken up and was not injured.
The pedestrian was transported to Reading Hospital. A condition report was unavailable.
The incident is under investigation.
