Pandemic Deepens Gender Divide By Hindering Retirement Savings
Nearly 2 million women have left the workforce since 2020, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Now only about one in three women are saving for retirement, compared to 44% of men, according to the 2022 TIAA Financial Wellness Survey. That’ s significantly different than 2017 data collected by the U.S. Census Bureau.
