Guardian Life Names New H.R. Executive

<p>Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has named John P. McCarthy as its executive vice president for human resources.</p> <p>McCarthy, who comes to the New York-based mutual company and life insurer from senior management and human resources directorships with the St. Louis-based Wachovia Securities, will be responsible for Guardian Life's human capital strategy, including recruitment and employee relations.</p> <p>McCarthy will report to Dennis Manning, Guardian Life's president and chief executive officer.</p> <p>A 30-year veteran of the human resources industry, McCarthy has senior-level experience with J.P.
