HDC will issue a Request for Proposals for an actuary or risk consultant that will provide expertise to design the program, and by the summer, the EDC will issue a Request for Expression of Interest to solicit proposals for how best to structure and operate this insurance program.
By 2027, the city expects to lower cost of insurance policies for the first 20,000 homes, and new insurance policies are poised to be available to 100,000 homes by 2030.
