Nickerson man arrested for two hit-and-runs on Sunday

May 21--Hutchinson police arrested a Nickerson man with a suspended license Sunday afternoon in connection with two separate hit-and-run traffic accidents in Hutchinson about 17 minutes and 1.7 miles apart.

According to the Hutchinson Police Department blotter, the first accident was at 10:43 a.m. at East 11th Avenue and North Poplar, when a vehicle driven by Julie E. Case, 51, of West 18th Avenue was hit by another vehicle that fled the scene.

Case reported injuries from the crash, though the report did not indicate whether she went to the hospital.

The second crash was in the unit block of South Severance Street at 11 a.m.

There, Dallas J. Dilli, 26, of North Grandview Street, reported a vehicle operated by a Hispanic man crashed into him and then fled the scene.

The blotter indicates Oscar L. Perez-Millan, 33, of 704 W Jefferson St., in Nickerson, was arrested on suspicion of 10 counts, including flee and elude, though details on the pursuit or when and where the arrest occurred, were not immediately available.

The potential charges also indicate Perez-Millan's actions in the second crash endangered a child.

Perez-Millan was booked on suspicion of two counts of failure to report an accident, one involving property damage of more than $1,000 and the other involving injury, two counts of failing to give information at a vehicle accident, and single counts of failure to render aid to the injured, endangering a child, flee and elude, failure to show proof of liability insurance, driving while suspended or revoked and reckless driving.

Perez-Millan posted bond on Sunday and was released.
