New Providence Awarded $10,000 Safety Incentive for Outstanding Workplace Safety Record
This recognition highlights the Borough's strong performance and dedication to workplace safety across multiple coverage areas, including Auto Physical Damage (APD), Auto Liability, Cyber Liability, Employment Practices Liability (EPL), General and Public Liability, Law Enforcement Liability, Public Officials Liability (POL), Property Damage (DD), and Workers' Compensation.
The achievement reflects the collective efforts of Borough departments in maintaining safe work environments, consistently adhering to established safety protocols, and fostering a culture of awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement. A key factor in this success has been the ongoing participation in required online safety training programs, which reinforce best practices, reduce risk exposure, and help prevent incidents before they occur.
Maintaining a strong safety record also plays a critical role in controlling municipal insurance costs. Fewer claims and incidents help stabilize premiums, protect taxpayer dollars, and ensure more resources can be directed toward essential services and community priorities.
Borough officials extend their appreciation to all employees across departments for their professionalism and continued commitment to workplace safety, which made this achievement possible.
