New Moulton health insurance plan to save employees, city money

"I like the fact the employees' paychecks will look bigger," White said before making the motion to approve the new plan. "Any time we can do that for them, it is a good thing on our part to help them out. I don't mind it as long as we've got it. It might not be like this next year."
"With the rising cost of insurance everywhere, I like this plan because it is more beneficial with more coverage and yet less costly for the employees," she said Tuesday morning.
Pepper said 44 employees are in the city's health insurance program. Twenty-eight are in the single employee plan, four in the employee/spouse plan, six in the employee/children plan and six in the family plan, she said.
