The Kentucky Public Employee Deferred Compensation Authority Board of Trustees voted unanimously to extend the terms of Nationwide's exclusive provider relationship for ten more years. Nationwide provides 457(b), 401(k) and IRA retirement plans to government employees. Together, these plans serve nearly 75,000 employees with $3.1 billion in assets.
Nationwide served as Kentucky's retirement plan provider for more than 30 years until 2010 and was rehired as the plan's exclusive provider in 2012 based on its extensive investment and advancement in technology, coupled with Nationwide's ability to provide customized support and personalized service.
"We appreciate the confidence Kentucky has placed in us and look forward to continuing our long-term partnership," said Eric Stevenson, vice president of distribution for Nationwide's retirement plans business. "Within the Kentucky plan, Nationwide supports nearly 1,000 local municipalities throughout the state, demonstrating that we're an expert partner to large, customized plans.
