Gulfstream is an affiliate and business process outsourcing (BPO) client of Seibels, and Catawba is a wholly owned subsidiary of Seibels, putting Ms. Brunson in a unique position to lead both companies. Ms. Brunson currently serves as Vice President of Business Development at Seibels and interim President & CEO of Gulfstream.

Seibels will immediately begin a search for Ms. Brunson’s replacement at Seibels as she moves away from her current role and direct involvement with business development and steps into the full-time leadership positions at Gulfstream and Catawba. As President & CEO of Catawba, Ms. Brunson will be responsible for preparing the currently inactive insurer for future business ventures.

“I am excited that Nan will be taking on the full-time role of President & CEO at both Gulfstream and Catawba,” said Rex W. Huggins, Chairman & CEO of Seibels. “Nan has been a tremendous asset to Seibels and brings a unique skill set to both companies. We are confident that she will serve the interests of the policyholders while maintaining alignment with the shareholders’ approach to long-term, profitable and conservative growth.”

Ms. Brunson is an executive strategist with over twenty-five years of experience in the insurance and technology industries. While serving in the business development team at Seibels, Ms. Brunson established short and long-term marketing, sales and communications strategies that aligned with the company’s vision to provide best-in-class insurance services. Ms. Brunson also focused on expanding the company’s world-class product and service offerings while providing ongoing support to clients.

“Working with the Seibels team and helping bring Rex Huggins’ vision of best-in-class services and world-class technology to fruition has been a rewarding experience,” said Nan Brunson. “I’m looking forward to becoming fully established at Gulfstream, and am happy to continue to cultivate long-term strategies for both Seibels and Gulfstream.”
