NABIP's Capitol Conference Focuses on Health Innovation, Equity and Market Reform

WASHINGTON, Feb. 28 -- The National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (formerly the National Association of Health Underwriters) issued the following news release:

The National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP) is excited to host its 34th annual legislative conference at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill from February 25-28. With an anticipated attendance of over 500 health insurance agents and benefits specialists, this year's conference is poised to be a significant gathering centering on the future of health reform and its implications for insurance professionals.

The conference is set to serve as a crucial platform for healthcare policymakers, industry leaders, and NABIP members to engage in meaningful discussions with elected representatives. The key agenda revolves around enhancing market stability and championing legislation that fosters patient-centered, value-based, and high-quality healthcare for all Americans.

"Each year, hundreds of members and numerous stakeholders come together to explore, engage, and envision the future trajectory of healthcare and insurance against the backdrop of a dynamic policy landscape," said NABIP CEO Jessica Brooks-Woods. "This year the legislative conference is designed to unravel various themes, including healthcare accessibility, policy implications, technological advancements, and strategic developments within the healthcare industry."

The event aims to equip members with the latest information and tools so that they can effectively prepare and assist their clients. "It is crucial that we continue to provide our members with timely resources, while empowering them to have a voice and impact policy decisions that are yet to be made," added Brooks-Woods.

"NABIP is leveraging technology to assist agents and brokers, ensure inclusivity by giving a voice to underserved communities and helping to bridge the gap in health equity. We're launching several new AI tools at this year's meeting, including an AI App Store and webinar series to help equip insurance professionals with the knowledge and tools to integrate AI into their agency operations."
