Michael Daoussis Joins Newfront Insurance as Head of Program Innovation

SAN FRANCISCO, May 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Newfront Insurance is pleased to welcome Mike Daoussis as Principal and Head of Program Innovation. Daoussis will focus on building programs for Newfront. He brings decades of industry expertise and a creative mindset at a time of rapid growth for the company. His track record of innovation will add to the depth of Newfront's product offering, enabling them to build creative insurance programs and the ability to work with captives.

Daoussis brings over 43 years of experience in the insurance industry including the past eight years as vice president at USI. He has run departments dedicated to complex risk programs for real estate and construction clients at Willis Towers Watson in Los Angeles and Phoenix, the Los Angeles office of Lockton Insurance Brokers, and Guy Carpenter & Co., the world's largest reinsurance intermediary, where he spent almost a decade in the procurement of reinsurance as the casualty director. He also worked in London as a reinsurance broker at Lloyd's and other London-based insurers and reinsurers. Among his many career accomplishments, in 2005 Daoussis was granted authority by underwriters at Lloyd's and permitted to underwrite builders risk insurance on behalf of Lloyd's in the United States. In 2009, Mike created a mechanism providing a novation for insurance carriers which allowed them to accept an alternate method for financially challenged insureds. This in turn allowed them to meet their self insurance obligations in order to trigger coverage under those respective policies.
