As of November 1, 2025, over 35.2 million people were enrolled in a Medicare Advantage (MA) plan, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Medicare Advantage enrollment reports, aggregated by Mark Farrah Associates in Medicare Business Online™. Employer-group Medicare Advantage plans, or Medicare Advantage employer-group waiver plans (MA-EGWPs) encompass 16.2% of the total MA market. In the latest analysis brief, Mark Farrah Associates (MFA), provided insights about the current employer-group Medicare Advantage (MA) market and assessed membership trends by carrier and state.

• As of November 1, 2025, MFA reported that over 5.7 million members were enrolled in employer-group MA plans. This is an increase of 19,719 or 0.35%, since a year ago.
• The top five carriers covered 83% of all group Medicare Advantage enrollees as of November 1, 2025, with UnitedHealth leading in terms of membership at over 1.8 million members, a -6.2% decline from a year ago.
• California maintained the highest number of employer group MA members with almost 752,000 beneficiaries as of November 1, 2025.
