McBee Dynasty’s Steve McBee Sr. Reveals Final Meal Before Going to Prison

Maravi Post ReporterThe Maravi Post

McBee Dynasty star Steve McBee Sr. has revealed what he plans to eat for his final meal before checking into prison

“I love steak,” McBee, 52, told People in an interview published on Saturday, November 29.

The McBee Farm & Cattle CEO will begin serving a 24-month sentence on Monday, December 1, after pleading guilty to one count of federal crop insurance fraud. He was also sentenced in October to serve two years of supervised release and must pay back $4,022,124 in restitution.

By signing a plea deal, McBee avoided a grand jury trial and as much as 30 years in a federal prison without parole, if convicted.

With a prison check-in looming by 2 p.m. on Monday in Yankton, South Dakota, McBee told the outlet that he planned to invite family over for one last big meal on Sunday, November 30.

“Obviously, I’m a cattle guy, so [steak is] my favorite meal: steak and potatoes. And I can eat potatoes any way — I like them baked, mashed, fried,” he said.

McBee acknowledged that Sunday’s feast will likely be the last of its kind for him for the foreseeable future.

Looking ahead, McBee acknowledged that the “hardest expectation” that his friends and family have for him is that he will get “all big and buff” in prison.

“I’m afraid if I come out, and I just look like me, they’re going to be like, ‘Really? You had months to work out,’” he said. “That’s a lot of pressure! I have to go in there and hit it hard. Yankton is an old college, and they said they have a really good gym in there and that the food is better than a lot of other places. I’m trying to find all the positives.”

His son Steve McBee Jr. exclusively told Us Weekly at BravoCon 2025 that the family was trying to spend as much time as possible with his dad.

“We’re just spending as much time as we can with him and making sure that we prioritize family time [like] spending dinners over there with him and just leaning on one another for support,” Steve Jr., 32 , said. “I think that’s the central theme of our show before my dad’s situation — and even more so now — is with family. You can get through anything 100 percent.”

Cole McBee also told Us, “We’ve been trying to spend as much time as we can with him before he leaves, but we’re gonna work through this together. It’s a tough position in our life, but we’re going to get through anything.”

Steve Sr. has also received some surprising support from fellow reality star, Todd Chrisley. The Chrisley Knows Best star, 56, and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were pardoned by President Donald Trump in May after previously being convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and tax fraud in 2022.

“I cannot say enough good things about Todd,” Steve Sr. told People on Wednesday, November 26. “After I did a podcast with Todd last Thursday, we went and had lunch. We walked into the restaurant, and there was a beautiful young lady as a hostess, and she looked at Todd and just started crying.”

He went on, “She was like, ‘Mr. Chrisley, we love you. I just got out of prison October 9, and the changes that you have made for my sisters that are still in there of getting treated like a human — you’re changing everybody’s life.’ It was a powerful moment.”

Fans will get to watch this challenging chapter in the family’s history play out on McBee Dynasty since Bravo renewed the show for a third season prior to Steve Sr’s sentencing.
