Markel Appoints Senior Yacht Underwriter

LONDON, April 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Markel International, the specialist insurer, has appointed Debbie O'Sullivan as senior yacht underwriter in its marine team.

Based in New Jersey, USA, she will focus on writing larger US yachts with values typically between $2m and $25m. Debbie will join existing Markel International underwriters Mike Wimbridge, senior yacht underwriter, and Chris Lytton, assistant yacht underwriter, to form a team of three handling large yacht risks and meeting worldwide demand.

Debbie has been writing marine risks for over 35 years, starting at CIGNA Corporation. She moved to Chubb in 1986 where latterly, in 1998, she was appointed as vice president, Chubb Limited, for North American yacht underwriting, product and pricing manager.
