MCMURRAY, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- In the latest Healthcare Business Strategy report, Mark Farrah Associates (MFA), www.markfarrah.com assessed the competitive mix of the Medicare and Medicare Advantage markets through analysis of enrollment figures from the Health Coverage Portal™ and Medicare Business Online™ of the six largest metropolitan statistical areas (MSA) in the United States. MFA found the Chicago MSA had the highest original Medicare rate at just over 70.9% with the lowest Medicare Advantage penetration rate (24.1%). Furthermore, of these MSAs, UnitedHealth and Humana dominated this market niche.
