LV= Broker Strengthens Business With New Appointments and Products

Targeted News Service (Press Releases)

BOURNEMOUTH, England, May 15 -- Liverpool Victoria, a provider of financial services issued the following news release:

LV= Broker, one of the top five insurers for brokers in the UK, has strengthened its Personal Lines business with three new senior appointments and the launch of five new products. To help the business successfully grow its Motor and Home portfolios, the insurer has appointed Jonathan Santer, Clive Upton and Paul Miles as Head of Home Underwriting, Head of Personal Lines Underwriting - Standard Motor, and Head of Personal Lines Underwriting - Van, Motorcycle and Specialist respectively. All three will report directly to Michael Lawrence, Director of LV= Broker Personal Lines.

Jonathan is currently Personal Lines Motor Manager at Allianz UK where he is responsible for the motor underwriting strategy. He's spent the last eight years at Allianz, working across both the Personal and Commercial lines of the business. In his new role, Jonathan will lead LV= Broker's home underwriting team and be responsible for defining and implementing the strategy.

Clive has worked at LV= Broker for the past 11 years and has most recently held the role of Motor Underwriting Manager. In recognition of the significant contribution he has made to the business and LV= Broker's commitment to developing its talent, Clive has been promoted to Head of Personal Lines Underwriting - Standard Motor - where he will have accountability for the strategy, performance and development of the standard motor portfolio.

Paul joined LV= Broker in 2009 as Head of Commercial Motor and over the last nine years has successfully led the team in achieving growth in LV=Broker's commercial lines motor portfolio. Paul's expertise, skills and knowledge of the motor market have resulted in him being appointed to this new role with the Personal Lines business, where he will be responsible for establishing the strategy for the non-standard motor business lines and lead the team in achieving its growth ambitions.

These appointments follow closely on the heels of the recent launch of five new Personal Lines Broker products, doubling the number of services that LV= provides to the market.

Commenting on the appointments, Michael Lawrence said: "I'm really pleased to welcome three more talented, experienced and skilled leaders to the LV=Broker team. They have all worked in the insurance sector for a number of years and each have excellent track records in delivering great results. We've made a commitment to become the go-to personal lines insurer in the UK and I'm confident that Jonathan, Clive and Paul will help us achieve this."

Mike Crane, Managing Director of LV= Broker, added: "When we initially announced the new business transfers in January, we said that we'd provide opportunities for both our people and those at Allianz. We've appointed three high quality individuals that bring excellent skills and expertise to help grow our business and I'm delighted that we've been able to retain and promote talent from within LV= and Allianz to head up our Underwriting teams."
