Dec. 19—WILMINGTON, N.C. — Debbie Elliott, a broker with Nest Realty, has earned the nationally recognized Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation from the SRES Council of the National Association of REALTORS.
Elliott joins more than 15,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES designation. All were required to complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers ages 55 and older.
Prior to becoming a realtor, Elliott had a 35-year career in PR and marketing and has extensive experience in the senior care market. As owner of Talk Inc., a Wilmington, NC-based PR firm, Elliott provided marketing communications services to independent retirement communities, assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities, in addition to various health care providers.
"I enjoy working with buyers and sellers of all ages and from all walks of life," said Elliott, "but I particularly enjoy working with people 55 and older to ensure that their best interests are always represented, and that they have the opportunity to make the housing choices that best meet their lifestyle and financial needs."
