Liberty Mutual Re Appoints Jens Voges to New Marine & Energy Senior Underwriting Role

LONDON, England, June 20 -- Liberty Specialty Markets, a specialty and commercial insurance and reinsurance provider, which is a part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, issued the following news release:
Liberty Mutual Re (LM Re), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Jens Voges as Senior Underwriter and Product Leader Marine & Energy within its London Market Risks (LMR) team. The new role was created to support LM Re's growth ambitions. He will be based at LM Re's Cologne office and takes up the role with immediate effect.
Prior to joining LM Re, Jens worked for AXA ART Insurance as Senior Reinsurance Specialist for nearly two years, where he organised the reinsurance cover for art insurance. Before that he was at Liberty Specialty Markets as a Reinsurance Underwriter for over nine years, where he gained a wealth of expertise across multiple classes in the reinsurance market.
Jens will report to Bernd Burelbach, Underwriting Manager, Liberty Mutual Re, Cologne. He will be responsible for the underwriting and strategy of the LMR Marine and Energy Reinsurance book.
Commenting on his appointment Bernd Burelbach said: "I am delighted that Jens has joined the team to further enhance our presence in the Marine and Energy Treaty classes. His experience and knowledge of the London Market will be invaluable for the continuous development of our business, while maintaining the highest service levels for our valued customers."
