Letter: Republican policies crushing small businesses
Staff WriterThe Dispatch-Argus
My family owns a small business in eastern Iowa. We rely on the Affordable Care Act/Healthcare.gov/Obamacare for affordable health insurance. Our business is young and cannot afford a large health care plan. Thanks to Trump and Republican policies, our health care costs are going to double or triple next year. Well, that money has to come from somewhere, and it'll have to come from the investment money we had allocated. We will have to stop investment and also shelve hiring more employees, solely thanks to lousy policies.
We've already been smashed under the weight of tariffs, skyrocketing costs, and an economy that is, in reality, in recession. Now we have another gut punch. How exactly are Republican policies putting America First? They are killing investment and crushing small to mid-sized business.
A little dose of reality from business owners that are living it, first hand. And we're not even Democrats.
Is a long-term care insurance policy worth it?
State action may spare county from $623K health plan expense
