Two months ago, I was injured on the job when a sledgehammer struck me in the head. This accident left me with a pretty severe concussion and an expensive visit to the hospital. Thankfully, Medicaid was able to cover the majority of my medical expenses, making it possible for me to recover from the injury without having to worry about breaking the bank.
I am currently fighting in the courts with my employer about getting more coverage. I’m fortunate to have Medicaid because without this coverage, I would not be able to function as well as I do now.
