Letter: Barry Wepman: Will a coming recession send Trump down with the ship?

I live in the Ocean State, so I like to couch my political prognostications in terms a mariner can understand. As long as our economic ship remains seaworthy, President Trump will prevail and get re-elected. After all, who among us would want to sink a ship laden with rewards?

But what happens as that ship starts to sink? The passengers bail, but will this captain go down with the ship?
