Jordan Dean Breeding, 35, of Ottumwa, was arrested at 3:39 a.m. Tuesday at Highway 218 and 340th Street and charged with driving while barred, interference with official acts, speeding, operating a nonregistered vehicle, failing to use seatbelts, and failing to have proof of liability insurance. He was taken to the Lee County Jail.
Shane Michael Baxter, 37, Keokuk, was arrested Monday morning in Keokuk and charged with child endangerment. He was jailed.
Accident
Deputies were called to 1651 180th St. at midnight Tuesday for a one-vehicle accident involving a passenger car driven by Samuel John Benjamin, 57, of Urbandale. According to the accident report, Benjamin drove down the lane and missed the end of the lane at 180th Street and went into a south ditch, damaging the front of the car and the radiator before coming to a stop. Airbags deployed in the front driver and passenger sides.
