Leader Pelosi Issues Statement on Anthem Decision to Leave Ohio Health Insurance Marketplace
Targeted News Service
WASHINGTON, June 7 -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., issued the following statement after Anthem announced that it was pulling out of Ohio'sHealth Insurance Marketplace:
"Anthem's decision to pull out of the Ohio Marketplace is yet another example of the devastation wreaked on American families by the Trump Administration's efforts to sabotage the Affordable Care Act.
"The Republicans' irresponsible actions have already resulted in North Carolinians in the Marketplace facing double-digit premium increases - and now, 10,500 Americans in 20 counties in Ohio could be left without any insurance options next year.
"Republicans must stop working to collapse the health care system and inflict suffering on hard-working families, and instead begin to work with Democrats on improving our health care system and lowering health care costs."
