WASHINGTON, March 11 -- Rep. David B. McKinley, R-W.Va., issued the following statement on the American Health Care Act:
"Today we took an important step to providing more American families with access to affordable and quality healthcare coverage. This bill will continue to be modified as it makes its way through the relevant Committees in an open and transparent process so the public can see what is in it before it is passed," said McKinley.
"I'd like to thank Chairmen Walden and Brady for their work on this issue and I look forward to continuing our work to make quality healthcare coverage available to more people," McKinley said.
Background
The American Health Care Act needs to pass through the Budget Committee and Rules Committee before the full House of Representatives votes to send it to the Senate.
