Joe Brenckle Named Director, Public Affairs For The National Insurance Crime Bureau

DES PLAINES, Illinois, April 12 (TNSper) -- The National Insurance Crime Bureau issued the following news release:

The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), the nation's premier non-profit organization dedicated to identifying, preventing and deterring insurance fraud and crime, has named Joe Brenckle as Director, Public Affairs, effective April 10. Brenckle brings more than 20 years of public affairs and communications experience in both the public and private sectors to his new role at NICB.

"Given his extensive public affairs experience in the nation's capital, Joe is the ideal choice to fill this critical role in our organization," said Chris Stroisch, Vice President, Public Affairs and Communications for NICB. "He has worked alongside some of the most influential leaders in Washington, DC. His experience and relationships will serve NICB and our member insurance carriers well as we work closely with lawmakers, industry associations, law enforcement, and other external stakeholders on efforts to fight insurance fraud and crime."

Prior to joining NICB, Brenckle served as Senior Communications Advisor to the United States Senate Committee on the Budget. In this role, he provided strategic communications counsel to Committee Senators and developed proactive media engagement plans in support of specific legislative and communications goals and initiatives. Prior to this role, he served as the Communications Director for Chairman Mike Enzi on the Committee, where he developed strategies to educate the media and public about key spending and fiscal issues in Congress and served as the primary committee spokesperson for national media.

Brenckle also served as the Communications Director for Senator Enzi on the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions; Communications Director for Senators Ted Stevens and Kay Bailey Hutchison on the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee; Communications Director for the U.S. House of Representatives; Special Assistant to Alaska Governor Frank Murkowski; and Press Secretary for Senator Murkowski on the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and National Resources.

In the private sector, Brenckle served as the Senior Manager for Policy and Communications for NS Strategies, a Washington, DC-based agency focused on designing and implementing strategic long-term communications and public relations plans for clients across the United States. In this role, he developed and executed strategic communications initiatives for several organizations, including the association representing the domestic maritime industry, which were designed to inform the media, Congress, and public about key issues and actions.
