Jessica Lozano Williams Joins MassMutual as Head of Supplier Diversity

As part of the company’s longstanding diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) journey and efforts to broaden its impact in diverse communities, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) today announced that Jessica Lozano Williams, she/her, has been named head of supplier diversity.

Among other strategic imperatives, Lozano Williams will oversee MassMutual’s five-year commitment to spend $150 million with underrepresented diverse suppliers, which has already seen 18% year-over-year growth. She will report to Will Porter, he/him, MassMutual’s head of procurement.

Lozano Williams comes to MassMutual after serving most recently as director of supplier diversity with Target where she created and directed initiatives that met or exceeded diverse spending and inclusion goals. Lozano Williams serves as the chair of the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council (NMSDC) Retail Industry Group and is a member of the North Central Minority Supplier Development Council (Board of Directors, Women of Color Committee and MBE Spend Committee). She is a sought-after public speaker and is active in several additional national supplier diversity organizations, including the Women’s Business Executive National Council (WBENC), the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC).

A resident of Minneapolis, Williams is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
