Industry veteran looks to grow firm within expanded territory

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The MetLife Premier Client Group recently announced that Jeremy M. Straub has been named Managing Partner of MetLife Premier Client Group of Florida. The firm maintains offices in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Coral Gables, Plantation and West Palm Beach, and recently added locations in Tampa, Sarasota and Fort Myers to better serve its clients throughout South Florida.

In his new role, Straub will be responsible for leading his team of 190 advisors with $3.7 billion client assets placed under management to deliver superior client service and provide holistic financial strategies designed to help clients meet their financial goals. Previously, Straub served as Regional Vice President with Ameriprise, where he oversaw a team of 177 advisors managing approximately $7.9 billion in client assets.

Straub’s hiring demonstrates MetLife’s ongoing commitment to identifying top-notch financial professionals who embody the leadership qualities and innovative thinking that a constantly changing industry landscape demands.

“Jeremy is a strong leader who brings more than a decade of experience and a wealth of innovative ideas to this role,” said Paul LaPiana, executive vice president of the MetLife Premier Client Group. “Under his stewardship, we are confident that clients across the region will benefit from the financial guidance provided by his firm and that MetLife’s presence will continue to grow across Florida.”

“I’m excited to work with everyone at our firm as we continue to strengthen our client relationships and provide exceptional financial strategies to the local small business owners we serve,” said Straub. “Through a passion for new ideas, creativity and innovation, we will grow and develop talent on our team while providing even more robust comprehensive financial advice to communities throughout Florida.”

Straub is a graduate of Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and has worked in the financial services industry for 15 years. During his previous work with Ameriprise, he earned the company’s Outstanding Leadership Award in 2009, 2011 and 2014, and was a Diamond Award recipient in 2014. He lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Maureen, and daughter, Kayla.
