Jefferson National Partners With Securities America

Louisville, KY— Jefferson National has partnered with Securities America, one of the nation’s largest independent broker/dealers of more than 2,000 independent advisors and $58 billion in client assets, to supply its leading tax-advantaged investing solution to the financial advisors and financial institutions across the country. Now financial advisors and institutions served by Securities America will have a new choice for tax-smart investing to optimize clients’ portfolios. Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor is the industry’s first1 Flat-Fee2 Investment-Only Variable Annuity (IOVA) with nearly 380 investment options, including more than 70 alternatives—the industry’s most underlying funds3 and the most liquid alternatives4 utilizing strategies like those favored by hedge funds and elite institutional investors.

“Jefferson National has a longstanding relationship with parent company, Ladenburg Thalmann, and partnerships with several of Securities America’s sister companies, including Triad Advisors, KMS and Securities Service Network. This was a natural progression to continue building our distribution network with one of the industry’s largest independent broker dealers. Securities America’s business model is well-aligned to the Jefferson National story, with fee-based advisory business making up nearly half (48.78%) of an advisor’s production,” said Mitchell Caplan, CEO of Jefferson National.

“At Securities America we are always seeking new alliances with quality investment solutions that help our advisors and institutions in their mission to support the financial goals of their clients. With its unique flat-fee, Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor is not just another VA product—it’s an innovative category of tax-advantaged investing solution to help maximize the value of tax deferral while building and growing a successful fee-based practice,” said Zach Parker, First Vice President of  Wealth Management & Product Strategy at  Securities America.

The fee-based advisors of Securities America can now provide more holistic financial advice by managing tax-deferred assets alongside taxable vehicles. Jefferson National’s tax-advantaged investing solution can potentially enhance the performance of many tax-inefficient assets and strategies that generate ordinary income and short term capital gains, such as fixed income, REITs, actively managed funds and many high-turnover liquid alternatives. Research confirms that tax-deferral can potentially increase returns by an average of 100 basis points—without increasing risk.5

2Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor has a $20 monthly flat insurance fee.  Additional low-cost fund platform fees ranging from .10% - .35% will be assessed for investors wishing to purchase shares of low-cost funds.  See the prospectus for details.  Certain low-cost funds may only be available to you if you retain certain investment advisors.
