Jeff Silverman Elected to Scholarship America Board of Trustees

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, March 5 -- Scholarship America issued the following news release:

Scholarship America(R), the nation's leading nonprofit scholarship and educational support organization, is pleased to announce Jeff Silverman, Managing Partner, Summit Group of Virginia, has been elected to its Board of Trustees.

Silverman is one of the founding partners of Summit Group of Virginia. Founded in 1996, Summit Group of Virginia LLP is an independent, financial consulting firm located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Silverman focuses on helping businesses and their owners with complex issues such as deferred compensation, buy-sell and key-person arrangements. He also assists businesses with all aspects of design, negotiation, and implementation of employee group benefits, such as life, long-term disability, and health insurance. As a sub-specialty of this, he supports numerous large health systems across the country with their employee benefit programs.

A resident of Virginia Beach, VA, Silverman has served as a youth sports coach and mentor and currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Norfolk Collegiate Schools and the Achievable Dream Academy and mentors "at risk" teenagers. He was also recently inducted into the Ameritas Life Insurance Company Hall of Fame.

Silverman is a graduate of Old Dominion University, where he earned a B.S. in Finance.
