The British Insurance Brokers' Association and ITN Productions Industry News launch "Leading the Way", a news and current affairs-style programme exploring the essential role of insurance brokers in protecting both businesses and consumers against the evolving threats of the modern world.

The UK has arguably one of the best insurance industries in the world despite this almost half of SME's in the UK don't buy sufficient insurance cover and face the risk of being under-insured should a major loss affect their business. As the nature of terrorist threats change and the number of significant cyber-attacks grow, businesses are increasingly vulnerable to exposure. "Leading the Way" showcases how the Insurance Industry is responding to the emerging risks of the digital age and highlights the opportunities in innovation and the potentially devastating consequences of being under-insured.

Presented by Natasha Kaplinsky, the news-style programme also addresses enduring industry themes including the effects of innovation, Insurtech, the availability of insurance, placing difficult risks and the progress being made in the sector in respect of Diversity, Inclusion, mental health and the engagement of young insurance brokers.
