Insurance Navigation ending at N.Y.’s Thompson

July 31 will be the last day for Insurance Navigation, a grant-funded program in which UR Medicine Thompson Health helped with affordable health insurance enrollment through the New York State Marketplace.

The 17-year program provided free assistance to those applying for programs including Medicaid and Child Health Plus. On Aug. 1, the Community Service Society and Community Health Care Association of New York State will service Ontario and Wayne counties.

Local residents who used Thompson's program in the past can visit nystateofhealth.ny.gov or call 855-355-5777 for information on sites that offer insurance navigation services in the region.
