In2Leadership Delivers Practical Leadership Tools for Today’s Risk Management and Insurance Workforce

Business Wire

MALVERN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
The Institutes CPCU Society announced In2Leadership 2026, an immersive leadership training experience for risk management and insurance professionals focused on practical skills, real-world application, and measurable impact. The program will take place April 28–29 in Nashville and is presented in partnership with the University of Georgia Terry College of Business Executive Education.

In2Leadership 2026 is built to be practical and immediately actionable, focusing on the skills leaders need most right now: elevating team performance, leading through uncertainty, and guiding organizations through technology-driven change. Participants will learn from UGA faculty and industry leaders through interactive workshops, hands-on exercises, and facilitated discussion. They will leave with tools they can put to work right away.

“In2Leadership is where risk management and insurance professionals come to sharpen the skills that matter most right now, leading people, navigating change, and delivering results,” said Spenser Villwock, MBA, IOM, CAE, Executive Director of The Institutes CPCU Society. “With UGA Terry College of Business Executive Education as our partner, we are proud to support both emerging leaders stepping into new roles and established leaders who want to elevate their impact for their teams, their organizations, and the people they serve.”

UGA Terry College of Business Executive Education brings faculty expertise spanning leadership, management, innovation, and technology. In2Leadership workshops are built around applied learning and are tailored to the realities of leading in today’s risk management and insurance environment.

“We’re proud to partner with The Institutes CPCU Society on In2Leadership,” said Dennis Lanham, executive director of Professional and Executive Education at the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. “This collaboration brings real-world, applied leadership development to risk and insurance professionals; giving them the capabilities and confidence to lead teams, manage change, and deliver impact where it matters most.”

Attendees will earn a digital badge from UGA Terry College of Business Executive Education and leave with tools, frameworks, and next-step action plans they can put to work right away.

Featured UGA-led workshops include:

  • Enhancing Team Effectiveness: Led by Dr. Onyedikachi "Kachi" Ekwerike, Lecturer, Institute for Leadership Advancement, UGA Terry College of Business.

  • Resilience and Leading Through Ambiguity: Led by Steve Nedvidek, Instructor, Innovation Coach and Consultant, UGA Executive Education Program.

  • Understanding and Leading Digital Transformation: Led by Aaron Schecter, Associate Professor, Department of Management Information Systems, UGA Terry College of Business.

In addition to the UGA workshops, the program creates space for meaningful connection with peers across the industry, helping attendees expand their networks and share real-world perspectives on leading people and change.

For Volunteer Leaders

In2Leadership also includes enhanced volunteer leader development for chapter, committee, and interest group leaders. Participants can arrive early for committee meetings on April 27 and join interactive volunteer sessions on the morning of April 28 focused on strengthening engagement, improving communications, planning events, and building a stronger member community.

“Volunteer leaders are a driving force behind the CPCU Society experience. In2Leadership provides dedicated time for volunteers to build confidence, network with industry peers, develop professionally, and stay informed on industry trends,” said Elaine George, CPCU, ARM, RPLU, President and Chair of the CPCU Society Leadership Council. “Our sessions are designed to strengthen engagement, enhance communication skills, and provide practical training. By turning ideas into action, our volunteer leaders create more opportunities for members to connect, grow, and help advance the industry.”

Registration for In2Leadership is now open. For more information and to view the full agenda, please visit the official event website: https://www.in2leadership.org
